We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Patient Care Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team at our Behavioral Health and Substance Abuse Treatment Facility in Mesa, AZ.



Job Overview

As a Mental Health Patient Care Specialist, you will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) to ensure unit safety, identify and escalate environmental and patient-specific safety concerns, and provide care to patients in a fast-paced behavioral health setting.



Responsibilities


  • Provide high-quality patient care and support to patients with substance abuse or mental health issues
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
  • Monitor and report patient safety concerns to the RN or RN Supervisor
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and develop treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions and treatment plans


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:




  • Behavioral health experience, preferably in a similar role or with a similar population
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility with scheduling, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, which can be obtained during the onboarding process
  • Eligibility for fingerprint clearance card

Compensation

The annual salary for this role is estimated to be between $33,280 and $41,600, based on a 40-hour workweek and 52 weeks of work per year.
