Job Summary

This position involves preparing and assembling fabricated components and materials in accordance with customer quality requirements and United Alloy's manufacturing philosophies. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring performance, quality preservation, organization, and efficiency in their work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand cross-check concepts and inspect products according to Inspection Control Plans
  • Accurately tag material and products according to product specifications
  • Identify hardware components used in assemblies
  • Compute decimal equivalents and interchange fractions
  • Accurately count and record production activity, including picking and transfers
  • Follow written and verbal directions to complete assignments or jobs
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required
  • Some exposure to metal fabrication concepts and processes is necessary
  • Ability to operate overhead cranes, tape measure, caliper, basic hand tools, and air tools
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Completed forklift certification training with the safety team to operate a forklift
  • Ability to record time accurately using the data collection system
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 100 pounds with assistance
