Miltenyi Biotec is a global leader in the development and manufacture of products for sample preparation, cell separation, cell analysis, imaging, and cell culture needs. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced sales professional to join our team as a Technical Sales Consultant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to meet and exceed sales forecasts in a defined territory.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to enhance and maintain current and future business.
  • Research and troubleshoot customer questions, problems, or complaints in a timely and effective manner.
  • Utilize CRM software to document interactions with customers, track opportunities, and manage sales activities.
  • Provide competitive and market trend information to management to identify new product opportunities and special marketing programs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences from a four-year college or university required; Master's or Ph.D. preferred.
  • Two to four years of sales and/or research experience in the life sciences environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Immunology and/or molecular biology background is preferred.
  • Familiarity with sales concepts, practices, and procedures.
Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. The employee is required to stand; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds (dual lift). Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This job is performed in a variety of facilities. Each person performing this job must have a home office environment, which is temperature controlled. This job requires the person to be mobile to visit customer sites. Due to the travel requirements, this position may be exposed to natural elements of nature. Used research/clinical equipment may be handled in this job and strict safety guidelines and SOPs must be followed and Personal Protective Equipment must be worn. All persons performing this job will receive appropriate training prior to engaging in work requiring Personal Protective Equipment or SOP procedures.
