Job Summary

Fincantieri Marinette Marine, a leading shipbuilding company, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for providing technical support to multiple cross-functional teams and ensuring the successful execution of technical studies and engineering change proposals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assign technical resources and provide input to project timelines
  • Support outsourcing plans and produce statements of work
  • Identify configuration items affected, effects on performance allocations and interfaces, impacts to manning/training, software/hardware upgrades, integrated logistics support and spares
  • Determine trade-offs and/or alternative solutions
  • Coordinate among multiple stakeholders, including the FMM Engineering Department and subcontractors
  • Develop integrated, comprehensive technical packages
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 5 years of directly applicable Project Engineering or Project Management experience
  • Working knowledge of Ship Work Breakdown Structure (SWBS) and Contractor WBS
  • Basic estimating skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Sub-contract vendor relation skills
  • Successful problem resolution skills
  • Ability to read/analyze program metrics
  • Understanding of risk/opportunity management
  • Familiarity with change and configuration management
  • Familiarity with integrated logistics support and maintenance processes
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suites computer skills, specifically MS Excel and MS Powerpoint
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Working knowledge of an ERP System
