About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at PeaceHealth Peace Harbor Medical Center in Florence, Oregon. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our imaging services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and perform standard x-ray examinations, as well as fluoroscopic procedures, using various radiographic equipment to obtain optimal results.
  • Integrate previous imaging studies, laboratory results, patient history, and medical records to optimize exam procedures.
  • Perform most appropriate examinations based on patient information, consulting with interpreting physicians and/or ordering physicians as necessary.
  • Apply infection control and radiation safety measures to ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
  • May perform surgical x-ray examinations, adhering to AORN standards and utilizing appropriate radiation safety measures.
  • Perform other patient care activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned, consistent with caregivers' scope of practice, training, experience, and license/certification/registration.
Requirements
  • Accredited School Required: Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT eligible, ARRT(R) certification required within 6 months of hire. May work under OBMI Temporary license pending ARRT certification.
  • Registered with the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI). Must maintain active registry with the state of Oregon OBMI.
  • Demonstrated venipuncture competency.
  • PACS/RIS knowledge.
  • Required Upon Hire: Basic Life Support.
