Sanitation Operations Specialist

Sanitation Responsibilities:
- Oversee the cleanliness and efficiency of equipment.
- Conduct post-cleaning inspections and verifications, including visual checks and swabs.
- Assist in training line personnel on sanitation practices.
- Execute site sanitation tasks such as emptying waste bins, restocking supplies, sweeping, and mopping.
- Maintain the exterior grounds of the facility, ensuring cleanliness by picking up litter, cleaning gutters, and stormwater drains.

Waste Management Duties:
- Monitor wastewater discharge, including daily cleaning and testing for pH levels and scheduling pump-outs.
- Coordinate the timely disposal of solid waste and sludge from the facility.
- Ensure on-site storage is free from spills.
- Assist in sampling for wastewater and stormwater.
- Oversee the disposal of water containing chemical and organic waste.
- Manage the disposal of solid waste such as cardboard, food and beverage containers, and sharps.
- Conduct inventory checks, create purchase orders, and maintain sanitation supplies inventory.

Pest Control and Chemical Management:
- Supervise the Pest Control Program within and around the facility.
- Ensure the security of all sanitation chemicals on-site by restricting access and monitoring for leaks and spills.
- Maintain spill containment kits and perform routine titration tests of cleaning agents.
- Verify that sanitation chemicals are within acceptable end-use concentrations.

Qualifications:
- Proficiency in English is required.
- Experience in the food industry is preferred.
- Background in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
- Familiarity with operating rolling stock such as forklifts, floor scrubbers, and aerial/boom lifts is preferred.
