Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Technician to join our team at Sonora Quest. As a Phlebotomy Technician, you will be responsible for collecting and processing biological specimens for laboratory testing. This is a full-time evening position at Banner North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, CO.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and process biological specimens for laboratory testing
  • Enter and verify patient demographics, location, physician data, tests requested, time and date of collection, and other pertinent data
  • Aliquots and labels specimens according to established departmental procedures and practices
  • Deliver specimens to the technical area in a timely manner and/or perform initial processing and preparation of samples for transport
  • Focus on quality by assuring that all work performed is accurate and complete
  • Participate in departmental financial responsibilities through the appropriate use of supplies and materials
  • Communicate courteously and professionally with internal and external customers

Requirements:

  • Minimum age requirement of 18
  • High School diploma or equivalent may be required dependent on state regulatory requirements
  • Basic knowledge of department resource materials
  • Completion of a phlebotomy program or phlebotomy experience
  • Position may require DHS Fingerprinting Certification or the ability to obtain fingerprint certification
  • Dependent on department/location, candidate must possess a valid state driver's license in the state of employment and be eligible for coverage under the company auto insurance policy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Additional related education and/or experience
