Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Actalent. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our medication dispensing process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medication Preparation: Prepare prescription items, package medications for dispensing and delivery, and ensure accuracy and productivity standards are met.
  • Inventory Management: Label products appropriately, participate in periodic inventory, and check in drugs and supplies.
  • Customer Service: Communicate professionally with customers, process returned medications, and assist in training new employees.
  • Automated Systems: Work in the Controlled Drugs Room, use automated machines to prepack drugs, and manage inventory.
  • IV Medications: Mix and package IV medications, and service facility-based medication dispensing machines.
Work Environment
  • Work a variety of shifts, including Thursday - Saturday 10 AM - 6 PM and Thursday - Saturday 2 PM - 10 PM.
  • May be asked to work weekends as needed.
Requirements
  • Pharmacy experience and knowledge of medication dispensing processes.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of automated systems.
