The University of Oklahoma seeks a highly skilled Nuclear Pharmacist to join our team in the daily operation of the Nuclear Pharmacy. This role requires a strong understanding of radiation safety and the ability to act as a lead employee.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform radiation safety duties, including acting as the day-to-day radiation safety officer.
  • Assist in the training and supervision of assigned personnel in the safe handling of radioactive materials.
  • Provide information to physicians and other staff members on the availability of new pharmaceuticals, radiopharmaceuticals, and supplies.
  • Dispense radiopharmaceuticals pursuant to a prescription issued by the physician or their directives.
  • Coordinate the distribution of dispensed radiopharmaceuticals to specific hospitals or clinics while complying with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Assist in the performance of quality assurance on radiopharmaceuticals, instruments, and equipment.
  • Maintain records of all prescriptions filled and other relevant documentation.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of radiation safety and nuclear pharmacy principles.
  • Ability to act as a lead employee and train others in radiation safety.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
