Job Overview

Position Summary:

As a Residential Mortgage Consultant at Nations Mortgage, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating the origination of home loans and assisting clients throughout the mortgage process. Your focus will be on establishing and nurturing relationships with borrowers, real estate professionals, and other referral sources to enhance business development and ensure a high level of client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in gathering and organizing necessary documentation for loan applications.
  • Support the sales team in acquiring new clients and managing current accounts.
  • Engage with clients to obtain required information and documentation for loan processing.
  • Perform credit assessments and confirm income sources.
  • Address client inquiries and provide updates regarding their loan applications.
  • Contribute to various tasks to facilitate the loan origination workflow.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related discipline is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Possession of a valid NMLS Mortgage Originator License is essential.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in the residential mortgage sector is required.
  • Comfortable with initiating cold calls and managing incoming client inquiries.
  • Excellent communication abilities are a must.
