Certified Professional Midwife Specialist

About the Facility:
The practice has 3 midwives and 2 WHNPs, with 20-30 deliveries per month. Patients are shared between midwives and physicians in the clinic. Primary duties include first trimester ultrasounds, group prenatal care, cesarean first assist, Nexplanon insertion training, and CNMs train residents and PA students.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care for low-risk obstetrical patients
* Consult with on-call physicians and co-manage high-risk patients as appropriate
* Perform first assist duties during cesarean deliveries
* Manage gynecological conditions and perform annual health screening examinations
* Provide family planning counseling and various methods of birth control
Requirements:
* Master's degree in nursing
* Education: Graduate from a certified nurse midwife education program accredited by the American College of Nurse Midwives
* Any active state RN and Nurse Midwife licenses
* Certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications
* Fetal Heart Monitoring, Intermediate or Higher (from AWHONN)
* Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (from AAFP) or Emergencies in Clinical Obstetrics (from ACOG)
* Must have at least 24 months experience working/performing as Certified Nurse Midwife within the last 48 months
