CNC Machine Operator Job Summary

New Hampshire Ball Bearings is seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator to join our team. As a CNC Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating all CNC turning machines within a Primary subgroup to produce a variety of standard and non-standard parts to close tolerances and exacting finish specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate CNC turning machines to produce parts to close tolerances and exacting finish specifications.
  • Read and understand complex written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations and maintain an understanding of the decimal and metric systems.
  • Diagnose and correct operating difficulties.
  • Work subject to process inspection and screen parts for established defect characteristics.
  • Maintain necessary records and detect unusual conditions and special problems.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Machine shop, CNC, tuning or related experience is a plus.
  • Ability to run all machines in a Primary subgroup independently, including holding tolerances and making necessary adjustments.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of this job may include standing, use of hands to assemble and/or carry out job functions, as well as sitting, lifting, carrying, bending, and stooping during the course of the job. Ability to lift 40 lbs.
