Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading Products: Load and unload products at various locations within a specific geographic territory.
  • Delivering Products: Deliver products such as perishable foods, table top items, special equipment, and frozen foods to customers.
  • Customer Service: Inform customers of new products or services, issue sales promotion materials, and resolve customer complaints.
  • Record Keeping: Record information on daily sales/delivery records and obtain customer signatures upon pickup/delivery.
  • Compliance: Comply with company policies and D.O.T. regulations.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Age: Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Commercial Driver's License: Must have a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) for tractor trailer operation.
  • Driving Record: Must have a good driving record for the past 39 months.
  • Experience: One or more years of tractor trailer/route delivery experience.
  • Availability: Must be available to work with the demands of the department, including overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Demands
  • Standing and Walking: Regularly stand and walk.
  • Reaching and Handling: Regularly reach with hands and arms to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Sitting and Climbing: Sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Lifting and Moving: Regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Visual Requirements
  • Closeness and Depth Perception: Close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
