Trusted Resource Associates (TRA) is seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team in a local contract position. As a Behavioral Health Specialist, you will play a vital role in facilitating the maintenance of a therapeutic environment in a psychiatric unit or similar setting.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients, providing emotional support and guidance as needed.
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including taking vital signs, weighing patients, and collecting routine specimens.
- Participate in group therapy sessions, providing knowledge and support to patients with behavioral health needs.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Minimum 60 hours of college credit in human services, psychology, education, sociology, or a related field.
- 1 year of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a hospital psychiatric environment.
- CPR-Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
- Possession of Crisis Prevention Intervention certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days).
