About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Ascension Wisconsin. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in providing distributive pharmacy services and technical support to our pharmacists.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications.
  • Refill and maintain automated dispensing systems to ensure accurate and efficient medication distribution.
  • Prepare orders and maintain inventory for the Pharmacy department, ensuring that medications are stocked and available for patient use.
  • Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounds, adhering to strict quality control standards.
  • Repackage bulk medications and receive and store incoming supplies, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Triage incoming calls and serve as a liaison between pharmacy, patient, and health professionals, providing accurate and timely information.
Requirements
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Registration with the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board required.
  • Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association preferred.
  • Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) preferred.
  • Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
