About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse or Certified Medical Assistant to join our Cardiology team at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. As a member of our patient care team, you will be responsible for assisting with providing high-quality patient care under the general direction of a Registered Nurse.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with providing patient care, including vital signs, medication administration, and wound care.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing program.
- Successful completion of an IV therapy and pharmacology course.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting beneficial.
- Current Wisconsin LPN licensure or application made and awaiting results.
- Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Aspirus Wausau Hospital is a licensed private/not-for-profit facility with 325 beds and staffed by 350 physicians in 35 specialties. We are a Level II trauma center that provides primary, secondary, and tertiary care services as a regional referral center. Our hospital has an average daily inpatient census of 220 with approximately 15,000 admissions per year.
