Our Opportunity

We are currently seeking an Environmental Scientist for our Environmental & Earth Sciences Practice in Bellevue, WA. In this role, you will work as part of a team to provide support for chemical regulatory compliance projects and provide high-level scientific support for projects centering on environmental forensics.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing dossier for authorization of chemicals in Asian countries, particularly in Korea.
  • Reviewing studies and data of biocide, biocidal products, agrochemicals.
  • Communicating with government authorities on behalf of clients.
  • Working cooperatively on projects with other members of the Environmental and Earth Sciences Practice and interdisciplinary groups from other Exponent practices.
  • Developing client relationships and building business in the Environmental and Earth Sciences Practice.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Environmental Science or Engineering, Environmental Chemistry, Agrochemicals or pesticides, or similar discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years-experience in consulting or other government agency (e.g., EPA, USDA) to be considered at Senior Scientist position.
  • Fluency in Korean in reading, writing, and speaking.
  • Familiarity with chemical regulations (e.g., EU BPR, REACH, FIFRA) would be a plus.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and writing skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented, able to work independently and as part of a team, and manage time effectively.
  • Strong ability to prioritize multiple projects with competing deadlines.
  • Strong commitment to personal and professional development.
