About the Role
The Facility Maintenance Specialist will be tasked with performing essential upkeep and various duties to ensure the premises are maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition, while also delivering an outstanding experience for visitors and clients.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate organization, reliability, and a proactive approach to managing a variety of responsibilities.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct minor repairs and enhancements to the facility as required.
  • Prepare spaces prior to and following meetings, events, and meals.
  • Oversee, clean, and maintain restrooms, classrooms, conference rooms, break rooms, cafeterias, snack stations, common areas, and parking lots.
  • Assist with furniture relocation and wall decorations.
  • Perform floor cleaning, scrubbing, and polishing tasks as necessary.
  • Support inventory management and ordering of facility supplies.
  • Manage the opening and closing of the facility, including walkthroughs to check for any unusual occurrences.
  • Facilitate visitor management by welcoming guests and enforcing access policies.
  • Respond to emergencies or unexpected situations, including spills, accidents, and infrastructure issues.
  • Handle facility shipping and receiving tasks (low volume).
  • Operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a custodial or similar role with janitorial/maintenance background.
  • Familiarity with facility and office equipment, cleaning supplies, and hand tools.
  • Understanding of building safety regulations and security protocols.
  • Basic computer skills with knowledge of office software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to perform physical activities including bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, pushing, pulling, twisting, turning, and lifting.
  • Work environment includes both indoor office and warehouse settings.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience operating forklifts and electric pallet jacks is preferred.
  • Background in shipping and receiving is advantageous.
