Job Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with mobility, personal hygiene, toileting, feeding, and other activities of daily living (ADLs).
  • Monitor residents throughout the shift and alert the broader nursing team to any concerns.
  • Check temperature, blood pressure, and other vital signs, and report any abnormal events to supervising staff.
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic environment by changing linens and helping to clean residents' rooms, etc.
  • Move residents to and from wheelchairs, beds, and exam tables.
  • Offer companionship and a compassionate, engaged ear to residents and their loved ones.
  • Communicate effectively with visitors, family members, and staff.
  • Adhere to resident care plans and follow established protocols.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Current Ohio State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification.
  • Knowledge of medical terms and basic nursing care procedures.
  • Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with medical professionals and residents.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
