Position Overview:

Category Planning Specialist:

This role is pivotal in orchestrating and implementing planogram and space management strategies across diverse product categories.

As a key player, you will oversee the complete lifecycle of planograms, which includes strategizing for your designated category, crafting and revising planograms for new retail environments and renovations, as well as pinpointing and executing enhancements to processes. You will also manage the ongoing workflow processes effectively.

Building robust collaborations with category management, inventory control, and operational teams will be essential to achieve shared objectives.

The ideal candidate will possess outstanding organizational capabilities and a keen ability to analyze planogram and category performance metrics.

Effective communication skills are crucial, enabling proactive interactions with both internal teams and external partners. A strong inclination towards action is necessary to ensure seamless execution of tactical plans.

Moreover, a customer-centric mindset is vital, as your efforts will significantly influence the in-store shopping experience for customers.

Experience in data analytics and database management is highly advantageous.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and sustain the planogram strategy across various categories.
  • Facilitate collaboration among cross-functional teams and maintain clear communication with internal and external stakeholders while adhering to strict timelines.
  • Perform planogram evaluations, adding or removing SKUs based on product selection and catalog requirements.
  • Address and resolve dispatch-related issues to ensure high-quality planograms are accurately loaded and sent to retail locations.
  • Identify and rectify discrepancies in floor plans proactively to mitigate any downstream effects on operations.
  • All team members are expected to adopt an entrepreneurial spirit, embrace diverse responsibilities, and contribute to a dynamic team environment.

Our client is currently expanding and has ambitious plans to enhance their market presence through existing stores, larger layouts, and innovative store formats.

For instance, they are in the process of upgrading their current locations to a new version and are preparing to introduce entirely new retail spaces.
