Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Medical Imaging Specialist to join our team at Carle Health. As a key member of our medical imaging department, you will be responsible for performing radiologic diagnostic procedures with precision and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Exhibit competency in performing radiographic procedures and serve as a resource person for staff.
- Maintain quality care throughout procedures, ensuring patient comfort and practicing radiation protection.
- Properly care for patients, maintaining efficiency and expediency in all interactions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest equipment and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment, verifying supplies and accessories as needed.
- Perform lab testing as required.
Departmental Support
- Process and prepare images and paperwork in a timely manner, ensuring efficient patient care.
- Maintain and coordinate patient flow, assisting with transport as needed.
- Enter patient information accurately into the HIS system and complete all fields in Radiant and PACS.
- Ensure a safe environment for patients and personnel, maintaining QA, QC, and QI programs.

- Assume personal responsibility for training fellow technologists and students, using time and resources productively.
- Display a professional attitude, fostering mutual respect and creating a productive learning environment.
- Participate in the Quality Improvement process and provide input on staff evaluations.
- Lead in developing teamwork to ensure efficient patient care and network with other professionals regionally.
- Demonstrate ability to multitask and assist with workflow.
- Develop new processes using creative ideas and maintain a current knowledge of trends in new processes and procedures.
