We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Clinical Educator to join our team at Torrance Memorial Medical Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, developing, and administering education, competency, and orientation programs for the Pulmonary Services Department.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain standards of clinical practice using professional resources and evidence-based best practices.
- Complete an annual education needs assessment and develop an annual education plan for the department.
- Plan and develop educational sessions and/or competencies to address issues impacting patient care.
- Coordinate educational opportunities, provide continuing education, and develop CEU opportunities.
- Develop and coordinate orientation processes for new hires and current employees.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of new procedures and equipment and make recommendations to department leadership.
- Coordinate clinical rotations of Respiratory Care students and review and update policies and procedures as needed.
- Establish and manage a department educational library of reference materials.
- Deliver critical care, routine therapy, and diagnostic testing as directed by a physician.
- Provide technical support and education to all clinical staff.
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare.
- 2 years of experience as a licensed RCP.
- CA Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
- BCLS or ACLS Certification.
- PALS Certification.
- NRP certification.
- RRT or CRT Credential.
