This is a full-time role located in a dynamic healthcare environment. We are seeking a certified Medical Assistant who is also adept at performing registration tasks as necessary. Compensation ranges from $17 to $22 per hour based on experience.

Role Responsibilities:
As a Medical Assistant, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in patient care by taking vital signs and conducting basic assessments.
- Providing explanations of basic medical information to patients under the guidance of healthcare providers.
- Performing blood draws and assisting with procedures as directed by providers.
In addition, as a Registration Specialist, you will:
- Ensure a smooth and accurate check-in and check-out process for patients.
- Confirm patient registration details and demographics, verify insurance information, and collect payments.
- Handle phone inquiries and assist patients with scheduling and other non-clinical needs.
Qualifications:
Required Skills:
- Minimum of one year of experience in a physician office or clinic setting, preferably in Internal Medicine or Primary Care.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills, along with excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to manage high call volumes and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of common insurance types and pre-authorization processes.
- Experience in obtaining patient vitals and history, as well as performing effective telephone triage.
Educational Background:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant, CNA, or EMT is mandatory.
Experience Requirements:
- Preferred one year of experience in a medical office setting.
- Proficient in computer skills and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Familiarity with health insurance processes is preferred.
