Job Summary

CARTI Cancer Center is seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian to join our team. As a Registered Dietitian, you will play a critical role in providing safe and effective nutrition care to patients actively receiving cancer treatment and throughout their cancer journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess the nutritional needs of cancer patients and develop individualized care plans.
  • Evaluate patients for signs and symptoms of nutritional deficiencies and inform physicians of patient's nutritional status and need for initiation of or change in diet, enteral or parenteral feeding.
  • Charts and completes nutritional consult forms and participates in the evaluation of nutritional programs.
  • Provide nutrition education to patients, families, and other healthcare professionals concerning nutrition therapy.
  • Consult with clinical staff on specific nutrition problems and issues.
  • Plan and administer nutrition programs for patients and their caregivers.
  • Coordinate and manage enteral nutrition therapy with team and home infusion companies.
  • Accurately and completely document all clinical activity on patient charts in accordance with company policy and procedure.
Requirements
  • BS in nutritional sciences or related field.
  • Active State of Arkansas Licensed Dietician (LD).
  • Registered Dietician (RD) or Registered Dietician Nutritionist (RDN) by the Commission of Dietetic Registration.
  • Board Certification as a Specialist in Oncology Nutrition (preferred).
  • Minimum one (1) year's clinical nutrition experience.
  • Outpatient oncology experience, preferred.
Working Conditions

This position involves potential exposure to infectious diseases. Colleagues are offered appropriate vaccinations and safety training.
