What You'll Bring to Spectrum
Required Qualifications
- Experience: OSP underground construction/maintenance experience: 2-4 years
- Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge: Understand outside plant construction standards
- Skills: Attention to detail, teamwork, initiative, communication, adaptability, consistency
- Abilities: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Ability to dig in all types of soil. Willingness to learn, handle tools and equipment, physical abilities like bending, squatting, and lifting occasionally heavy material
- Travel Ability: Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record; you'll travel 80% of the time to complete projects at different sites
Preferred Qualifications
- Class A CDL (commercial drivers license)
- OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) certification
