Job Summary

Cannon is seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Engineer to join our team in Irvine, California. As a Structural Design Engineer, you will be responsible for completing tasks under the direction and supervision of a Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop structural designs for various engineering projects.
  • Perform calculations for structural components.
  • Create construction plans and details for structures in accordance with company standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to gain understanding of project requirements and tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with staff to maintain a team atmosphere.
  • Work under budgets and timetables assigned by the Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Architectural or Civil Engineering with emphasis in structures from an accredited college.
  • Minimum of 1 year's experience in structural analysis, design, and detailing of structures.
  • Knowledge and experience in concrete, steel, and masonry structural systems.
  • Knowledge and experience in commercial structural analysis and design software.
  • Knowledge of the California Building Code and ASCE 7.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is preferred.
  • EIT preferred.
