Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team at Maryview Medical Center. As a Medical Laboratory Scientist, you will play a critical role in performing laboratory tests and procedures to detect diseases and conditions. Your expertise will help us provide accurate and timely results to our patients and healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and complex laboratory procedures, including testing and analysis of patient samples.
- Identify and correct problems within the scope of your training and education.
- Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and validate laboratory equipment.
- Perform, record, and evaluate Quality Control procedures.
- Assist with inventory, schedules, and safety protocols.
- Conduct competency assessments and develop new methods of testing as needed.
Requirements
- MLS Medical Lab Scientist Certification (or MLT) or eligibility by a nationally recognized certification agency.
- Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Science, Biomedical Science, Biology, or Biochemistry from a CLIA-approved program.
