Crisis Counselor

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Crisis Counselor to join our team at Seneca Center. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will provide a safe and nurturing environment for youth, intervening as necessary to assist them in developing skills for growth and stabilization.

• Engage youth in groups focused on supporting them in developing coping skills and other therapeutic activities.
• Provide stabilization services for youth, including individualized intervention, safety planning, behavioral intervention, and coping skills education.
• Maintain accurate documentation and paperwork, including mental health notes, incident reports, and timesheets.
• Intervene with clients' behavior modification programs as needed, including physical management of clients as necessary.
• Provide transportation for youth and families when necessary.
• Provide supervision for visits with family when necessary.
• Participate in weekly supervision.

• REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree, at least 21 years of age, TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements.
• PREFERRED: Bilingual (English and Spanish), experience working with youth or families providing mental health services.

• Starting at $21.22 - $23.72 per hour.
• Additional compensation provided upon passing bilingual language proficiency exam.
• Actual salary dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualification.
