Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Lead Educator in designing and executing developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities.
  • Help maintain a stimulating, safe, and tidy classroom environment.
  • Prepare educational materials and resources for daily lessons and activities.
  • Supervise children during various activities, including outdoor play and transitions.
  • Engage with children positively, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
  • Provide personalized attention and support to children as necessary.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children consistently.
  • Communicate respectfully and effectively with parents and families.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and opportunities for professional development.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum age of 16 years.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with state and local childcare licensing regulations.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Dedication to ongoing professional growth.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred coursework in Early Childhood Education or a related discipline.
  • Prior experience working with young children is advantageous.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Capability to perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • Position requires good visual acuity and substantial use of hands and fingers.
Emotional Requirements:
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain emotional stability under pressure.
