About the Role

Cook Children's Health Care System is seeking a skilled Advanced Practice Clinician to join our team in the Urgent Care setting. As a collaborative healthcare professional, you will work independently to assess patients, form diagnoses, and develop interventions based on approved protocols and evidence-based medicine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Autonomously perform patient assessments and develop treatment plans
  • Treat patients with a variety of modalities, including discharge from the Urgent Care or facilitation of a referral and/or transport to a facility of a higher level of care
  • Supervise clinic personnel as needed
  • Prescribe medications and treatments as authorized
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies
  • Current licensure and certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a related field, preferably in critical care, ED, or urgent care
