Position Overview: The Bookkeeper will be responsible for ensuring precise financial documentation for our restaurant operations. This position entails monitoring expenditures, managing accounts payable and receivable, and generating financial statements. The successful candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail, robust organizational capabilities, and prior bookkeeping experience in the hospitality industry. Core Responsibilities:

  • Document and reconcile daily financial activities, encompassing sales, purchases, and payments.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing and payment management.
  • Review and reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.
  • Compile and maintain precise financial reports, such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations and internal protocols.
  • Assist with payroll management, including tracking employee hours and calculating salaries.
  • Engage with vendors and suppliers regarding invoicing and payment inquiries.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives.
  • Provide assistance during audits and financial assessments.
  • Maintain orderly and accurate financial records and documentation.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience as a bookkeeper, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Strong grasp of bookkeeping principles and financial regulations.
  • Experience in data analytics and/or coding is advantageous.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capacity to work independently and effectively juggle multiple responsibilities.
