Job Title: High School Engineering Teacher

At Linked Professional Services, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced High School Engineering Teacher to join our team.

The successful candidate will provide leadership in an educational environment that encourages and nurtures learning for all students. They will be responsible for providing supervision to students in a variety of school-related settings, monitoring and evaluating student outcomes, developing, selecting or modifying lesson plans to ensure all student needs are met, and maintaining appropriate records and following all policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Technology Engineering & Design Education and be able to provide quality standards-based instruction in this area. They will assess and encourage student progress, manage an effective learning environment to maximize student achievement, and continue to participate in professional development to stay knowledgeable of current developments in the Technology Engineering & Design field.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and execute engineering experiments to create workable solutions.
  • Conduct ongoing assessment of student growth and progress in Technology Engineering & Design activities and modify instructional methods to fit student's individual needs.
  • Prepare instructional materials aligned with curriculum standards, maintain equipment, supplies, and other resources, and maintain inventory records in accordance with district policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate CTE Student Organization activities for local, regional, state, and/or national competition.
  • Attend District PLC meetings as scheduled.
  • Work with employers and community groups to promote and advance technical skills.
  • Create an instructional environment that is conducive to the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development of students.
  • Communicate standards, achievements, and deficiencies to students and parents. Meet with students and parents.
  • Maintain complete and accurate student academic, attendance, and disciplinary records. Monitor and assess students' academic progress.
  • Collaborate with school administrators, other teachers, para-educators, parents, and community members in the education of students.
  • Instruct and demonstrate proper safety practices, procedures, and standards.
  • Demonstrate techniques to students as a group and one-on-one, helping them to complete lessons, assignments, projects, activities, and evaluations.
  • Provide students with clear expectations, continual feedback, and logical consequences.
  • Provide students with opportunities to expand their skills and knowledge base.
