Job Description

Job Title: GCP Cloud Architect

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled GCP Cloud Architect to join our team at HexaQuEST Global, Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud architecture, with a focus on Google Cloud Platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform
  • Work with business partners to understand organization's obstacles and provide due diligence
  • Design, build, and configure applications to meet business process and application requirements
  • Work on Google Cloud Platform Architecture for business needs
  • Handle Google Cloud SQL to manage user data and client data
  • Experience in architecting applications for Google Cloud platform
  • Experience in architecting and designing solutions leveraging services like Cloud Bigquery, Cloud Data Flow, Cloud Pub/Sub, Cloud BigTable
  • Responsible for architecture design and design solutions to meet functional and non-functional requirements
  • Ensure all requirement clarifications are closed and use right GCP services while designing solutions
  • Lead the technical solution and coordination
  • Point of contact for technical design and deliverables

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in technical solutions implementation, architecture design, evaluation, and investigation in a cloud computing environment preferably Google
  • Experienced in private and public cloud architectures, pros and cons, migration strategies, organizations data strategies
  • Experienced in integrating and migrating on-premises systems to Google cloud
  • Experienced in designing and managing databases with a strong understanding of database concepts, troubleshooting skills, and root cause analysis
  • Experienced in RDBMS like Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL
  • Experienced in predicting and overseeing infrastructure/software upgrades
  • Experienced in infrastructure (Server, Storage, and Database) discovery, design, build, and migration
  • Experienced in predicting and overseeing infrastructure/software upgrades
  • Understanding of Data archival systems, Data management, and Data governance concepts with ability to advocate for architecture that supports the governance/management of data
  • Experienced in Google Cloud Datastore, Google CloudSQL, Google Cloud Spanner, Google DataFlow
  • Experienced in containerization solutions (Kubernetes and Docker) and Microservices on GCP
  • Preferred Skills - Development background of any of the following programming languages (Python, Java, shell scripting, PL/SQL)
  • Experienced in Terraform
  • Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect is preferred but hands-on experience with GCP services using GCP Console is the key
