Job Summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a skilled Collections Specialist to join our team. As a Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for locating and notifying customers of delinquent accounts, receiving payments, and preparing statements to credit departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Locate and monitor overdue accounts to ensure timely payment.
  • Confer with customers to determine reasons for overdue payments and review sales, services, or credit contracts.
  • Persuade customers to pay amounts due on credit accounts, damage claims, or non-payable checks.
  • Arrange for debt repayment or establish repayment schedules based on customers' financial situations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2-4 years of financial and/or customer service experience required.
  • Verbal and written communication skills, customer service, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage one's time.
  • Ability to accurately document and record customer/client information.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations as related to collections.
