Parts Specialist – Southwest Automotive Group

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Parts Specialist to manage the procurement, sales, storage, and distribution of automotive parts within our dynamic dealership environment. The ideal candidate will possess at least one year of experience in a dealership warehouse setting and will be adept at maintaining inventory while providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess customer needs and accurately identify required parts
  • Generate and modify purchase orders as necessary
  • Submit purchase orders to the relevant vendors for parts acquisition
  • Document warranty parts that are returned
  • Input special order parts into the dealership's computer system and inform the appropriate personnel upon receipt
  • Monitor the tracking of special order parts
  • Process and finalize outstanding invoices
  • Verify the quality and quantity of received merchandise against invoices
  • Maintain records of external purchases and parts transactions
  • Conduct regular inventory checks of warehouse parts
  • Participate in weekly departmental meetings

Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED is required, along with a minimum of one year of experience in a dealership warehouse or related training. Candidates with a combination of education and experience will also be considered.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands for this position include the ability to stand, walk, and use hands for various tasks. The employee may need to lift and/or move items weighing up to 25 pounds regularly and occasionally lift more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
