Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team at ProMedica Flower Hospital. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including vital sign collection, medication administration, and wound care.
  • Assist with patient observation, including monitoring vital signs and reporting any changes or concerns to licensed nursing personnel.
  • Conduct basic medical procedures, such as EKGs and phlebotomy, under the supervision of licensed personnel.
  • Assist with clerical tasks, including answering phones, copying, and stocking supplies.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, including electronic medical records.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • CPR certification required prior to performing direct care.
  • Previous experience in a medical setting preferred.
  • CNA, STNA, MA, EKG, CPT, or ARRT certification preferred.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to move about the hospital and between workstations, with prolonged periods of standing. The ability to frequently move, lift, or carry light to medium weight materials is also required.
