Project Overview

Milestone Technologies is seeking an Environmental Sustainability Lead to join our Net Zero initiative. This role is pivotal in advancing our supplier engagement strategy, focusing on collaboration and analytical support to drive emissions reduction across the value chain.

We are in search of adaptable and intelligent candidates who thrive in cross-functional environments. Ideal applicants will possess strong analytical capabilities, critical thinking skills, and exceptional communication proficiency. A successful candidate will have extensive experience in greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting, particularly in scope 3 emissions, supplier engagement, and the development of sustainability roadmaps within a dynamic technological landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engagement strategies with selected suppliers to achieve GHG emissions reduction.
  • Analyze supplier GHG data, targets, and roadmaps to identify trends and inform decision-making.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Enhance the impact of supplier and internal initiatives to expedite GHG emissions reduction.
  • Work alongside cross-functional teams to create and execute new and ongoing GHG reduction projects.
  • Communicate program progress effectively to internal stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, business, or a related discipline.
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience in sustainability-related fields.
  • Expertise in GHG accounting, target setting, and supplier engagement.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data management and advanced Excel.
  • Proven project management capabilities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • A collaborative team player with strategic thinking skills to drive initiatives.
  • Self-motivated with a track record of resolving issues through effective communication and alignment.
  • Experience working with interdisciplinary teams and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and eagerness to learn and engage in diverse projects.
  • Familiarity with global sustainability initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of company products and services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., MBA, Master's in Sustainability Management, Environmental Science).
  • Experience with GHG software and tools.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau.
  • Background in the electrical and electronics manufacturing sector.
