About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Observer to join our team at Cooley Dickinson Hospital. As a Patient Care Observer, you will play a vital role in maintaining the safety and well-being of our patients in the Inpatient Behavioral Health unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Remain in constant attendance with assigned high-risk patients to ensure their safety and comfort.
  • Report any observed changes in patient condition to the patient's nurse immediately.
  • Perform tasks to maintain patient comfort and safety, including falls prevention, assisting with toileting, and offering food and fluids.
  • Assist patients with ambulation and turning/repositioning while maintaining patient privacy and dignity.
  • Recognize when to call for help and respond accordingly.
