Electric Utility Operations Manager

At PacifiCorp, we are seeking a highly skilled Electric Utility Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Power Delivery department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our metering field services organization. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the safe and efficient installation, maintenance, and testing of electric metering equipment in our assigned service territory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage a team of metermen, meter readers, and field metering specialists to ensure the accurate and timely reading of meters, as well as the installation and maintenance of electric metering equipment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of field operations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and performance.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business administration, management, or engineering.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in operations, power delivery, customer service, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Related college degree in business, management, or human resources.
  • Experience supervising or managing union employees.
  • Metering and/or field-related experience in the electrical industry.
