Job ResponsibilitiesAs a Line Locator, you will:
- Work under the guidance of your supervisor to conduct visual inspections of designated construction zones.
- Read and interpret utility maps to identify the presence of underground utilities.
- Utilize specialized electronic equipment to accurately locate and safeguard utilities from potential damage.
Typical utilities include gas, electric, water, cable, sewer, and more.
Requirements- Willingness to undergo random drug testing in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Ability to work outdoors in various conditions.
- Availability for limited weekend hours, primarily for on-call duties and increased workloads.
- Successful completion of the company's training program, including passing relevant written and field assessments.
- Develop a foundational understanding of state and local damage prevention regulations.
- Learn and implement safety measures related to vehicle operation and field activities.
