  • Interview patients to assess their needs and record relevant information.
  • Assist physicians with patient procedures, such as suture removal and minor surgeries.
  • Prepare specimens for analysis and submit lab results to physicians.
  • Schedule diagnostic tests and procedures, and track results.
  • Facilitate referrals to other physicians and communicate with patients regarding test results.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as pre-certifying medications and referrals.
  • Take manual inventory of drugs and supplies, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability in taking patient vitals, injection/immunization procedures, and charting and documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; licensed medical assistant or further nursing degree preferred.
