Mercy Medical Center Mt. Shasta, a member of the Dignity Health system, is a not-for-profit medical facility providing quality care to the community. As a Critical Access Hospital, we are accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.

Responsibilities

The Hospice RN is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients, as part of an interdisciplinary team, for a designated time frame. This role provides care to patients via the therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation, and other healthcare team members.

  • Home Health field Nursing


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

One year RN experience in acute care, home health, or hospice
Current California RN License
Ability to provide appropriate and compassionate care to terminally ill patients and their family
Meets patient/family needs in a cost-effective manner through efficient use of resources
Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
Current Driver's License and Auto Insurance
