Clinical Nurse III: Medical Surgical Hospitalist

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse III to join our Medical Surgical Hospitalist team at Albany Medical Center. As a key member of our caregiving team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to a compassionate and caring environment for patients, families, and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, coordinate, plan, direct, implement, and manage the needs of assigned patients throughout their episode of care, with a focus on progress toward discharge.
- Deliver and coordinate patient care provided by the caregiving team, ensuring competent and compassionate care is uniformly provided to customers.
- Participate in the Nursing Professional Advancement Pathway (NPAP) and progress from novice to competent within a specialty.
- Contribute to a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and colleagues by following established procedures and protocols.
- Exhibit positive service excellence skills, demonstrating effective teamwork and open communication.
- Contribute to a clean and hospitable environment, maintaining a consciousness regarding costs, supplies, and department finances.
- Demonstrate respect for individual differences, acknowledging the essence of each person and appreciating unique, spiritual, personal, and cultural backgrounds.
This role may require access to sensitive information, including HIPAA Protected Health Information. Workforce members are expected to ensure that access to information is based on a need to know and is the minimum necessary to properly perform assigned duties.
