Reporting Structure
This position reports to the Production Engineering Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
At our Albuquerque facility, we specialize in manufacturing underground cable connections and accessories essential for the electrical distribution grid, including fault circuit indicators and current sensors. Our renowned Elastimold and Fisher Pierce products are critical for connecting, grounding, splicing, terminating, and protecting underground power cables. The role includes:
- Setting up and operating all rubber mold presses.
- Gaining expertise in optimal molding procedures for various components.
- Training molding operators to ensure quality and competence.
- Operating forklifts and overhead cranes as necessary.
- Maintaining communication with the Tooling department regarding tooling, molds, and fixtures.
- Keeping detailed records, including shift reports and modifications to press setups.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Capability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform push/pull tasks.
