Key Responsibilities
  • Collect blood samples from patients in a safe and efficient manner, following established phlebotomy procedures.
  • Properly identify patients and label specimens, ensuring accurate and timely delivery to the laboratory.
  • Work collaboratively with dispatch, laboratory, and courier departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Maintain all equipment in good working order and report any issues to the Area Phlebotomy Supervisor.
  • Meet productivity and quality standards, while providing excellent customer service to patients and clients.
Requirements
  • Current clinical licensure, if required by state.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and phlebotomy procedures.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and maintain accurate time sheet records.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle in good working condition.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, while maintaining a professional demeanor.
