Job Summary

Washington Adventist University is seeking a qualified adjunct faculty member to teach Fundamentals of General, Organic and Biochemistry lectures and associated laboratory for nursing majors and non-science students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Fundamentals of General, Organic and Biochemistry lectures and associated laboratory, utilizing lectures, labs, demonstrations, class discussion, and other appropriate modes of educational delivery.
  • Develop and implement course outlines, syllabi, and lesson plans, and select textbooks and teaching aids necessary for instruction.
  • Hold regular office hours, engage with students, and provide timely grades and feedback via a Learning Management System.
  • Supervise the use and maintenance of laboratory instruments and equipment.
Requirements
  • Master's or Ph.D. degree in General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field from an accredited university.
  • Prior college or university teaching experience preferred.
  • Ability to integrate technology into course delivery and practical life applications.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to the university's philosophy and mission.
