Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician - Chemistry Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing complex laboratory tests and procedures, ensuring accurate and timely results, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities- Perform and evaluate laboratory tests and procedures, including routine and esoteric chemistry tests.
- Collect, label, and deliver specimens to the laboratory for testing.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of laboratory results and test procedures.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest laboratory techniques, technologies, and regulations to ensure compliance and optimal patient care.
- Associate Degree in Biological or Chemical Sciences or Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) from an accredited institution.
- Technician Certification (MLT) within one year of employment.
- Experience in clinical laboratory disciplines, sufficient to allow certification under one of the Medical Laboratory Technician Certifying Agencies' examination routes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English.
