Job Description

Risk Mitigation Consulting (RMC) is seeking a part-time Cybersecurity Recruiter to join our mission-driven team. As a key contributor, you will collaborate closely with hiring managers to address the dynamic staffing needs of the company.

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years of experience recruiting and have an understanding of unique Cyber & IT roles, technical and/or GovCon recruiting, and the commercial Cyber industry.

This is a part-time position, with fluctuating hours depending on weekly business needs. You will provide full lifecycle talent acquisition support in coordination with our hiring team to source, identify, interview, and lock in candidates for our existing Prime Contracts and Subcontracts, as well as our ongoing proposal efforts for new contracts.

Essential Functions:

  • Talent Acquisition: Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to attract top talent through various channels such as social media, job boards, networking, and referrals.
  • GovCon Expertise: Leverage deep knowledge of government contracting regulations and requirements to identify and assess candidates with relevant experience in the DoD and other federal agencies.
  • Recruiting Cycle: Manage the process from job requisition to offer negotiations.
  • Pipeline Development: Build and maintain a pipeline of pre-qualified candidates for future GovCon and commercial projects, especially those requiring niche technical skills.
  • Collaboration: Partner with hiring managers, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand job requirements, timelines, contract needs, and ensure alignment on candidate profiles.
  • Candidate Engagement: Engage and maintain relationships with potential candidates, providing a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Compliance/ Data Management: Ensure all hiring practices comply with government regulations and internal policies, particularly in relation to security clearances and labor categories.
  • Market Trends: Stay up to date with trends on industry trends, best practices, compensation, and government contracting regulations to attract and retain top talent.

Competencies:

  • Experience using ATS, specifically BambooHR and Paylocity
  • Familiar with a wide variety of sourcing avenues
  • Ability to design and implement recruiting strategies
  • Confidence and ability to prospect, cold call, network and develop relationships
  • Knowledge of interview techniques and applicant screening methods
  • Experience or familiarity using MS Office / Office 365 Suite, including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
  • Excellent organization, planning, and verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of relevant employment law and legislation
  • Familiarity with cyber and IT terminologies, certifications (e.g., CISSP, CAP, CISM, CEH, CCNA), and emerging technologies in the federal space.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent experience
  • 1 to 3 years of GovCon and/or Cyber recruiting experience

  • Travel Flexibility: Willingness and capability to travel, CONUS approximately 5% of the time.
  • Work Environment Compliance: Commitment to maintaining a drug-free work environment, U.S. Citizenship, and possession of a valid state driver's license.
