Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team at Express Employment. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing various maintenance tasks to ensure the properties are well-maintained and in good condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including painting, cleaning, and general repair work to maintain the properties.
  • Oversee quality control and scheduling for contracted work to ensure timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Respond to service requests from residents within a 72-hour time frame to ensure prompt attention to their needs.
  • Communicate effectively with the Community Manager, coworkers, and residents to address questions and concerns.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with others, upholding the company's standards and values.
  • Administer Fair Housing Laws to ensure compliance and fair treatment of all residents.
  • Uphold safety standards and protocols while performing maintenance tasks to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Lift and carry heavy objects for extended periods, as well as stand, bend, kneel, use ladders and stairs, and perform other required tasks.
  • Utilize cleaning solutions for cleaning activities in vacant apartments to maintain a high level of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Possess hand tools or be willing to purchase them to perform maintenance tasks efficiently.
  • Drive to different properties within Central Oregon as needed to perform maintenance tasks and respond to service requests.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in a similar role.
  • High School diploma or GED as a minimum educational requirement.
  • Strong knowledge of painting, cleaning, and general repair techniques to perform maintenance tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with residents, coworkers, and management.
  • Familiarity with Fair Housing Laws and regulations to ensure compliance and fair treatment of all residents.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects for extended periods, as well as stand, bend, kneel, use ladders and stairs, and perform other required tasks.
  • Physical agility to perform various tasks, including standing, bending, kneeling, using ladders and stairs, etc.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to drive to different properties within Central Oregon.
