Operations Director

At Bow and Arrow Holdings, LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to oversee and lead all aspects of our terminal operations in Brownsville. This critical leadership role requires a proactive self-starter who can take on any challenge necessary to achieve optimal results.
Key Responsibilities:- Safety Culture: Lead and promote a safety-first culture within the team, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
- Team Coordination: Coordinate, plan, and lead all functional teams to ensure efficient customer service in terminal handling and other provided services.
- Communication: Maintain consistent and professional communication with customers, stakeholders, direct reports, employees, cross-functional departments, and third-party interests.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze performance, financial metrics, and customer satisfaction inputs to drive continuous improvement.
- Financial Reviews: Participate in monthly financial reviews to ensure alignment with company goals.
- Continuous Improvement: Seek opportunities for improvement in operations through constant review, new tools and technology, and identification of inefficiencies or waste.
- Workforce Development: Engage in training, skills development, mentoring, and fostering workforce excellence to drive business success.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of supervisory experience in an industrial environment managing a large workforce of 50 or more employees in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in vessel cargo operations, warehouse, rail, construction, oilfield, offshore platforms, or refineries is advantageous.
- Education: A degree in Maritime, Business, Engineering, Industrial fields, or a maritime background is preferred but not mandatory.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrates strong leadership, motivational skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to make quick decisions in rapidly changing priorities without compromising safety.
- Performance Management: Capable of identifying strong performers and positioning them for success while addressing underperformers through reinforcement, retraining, or replacement.
- Process Standardization: Utilizes processes to standardize job functions, ensuring consistency and uniformity in repetitive operations.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to work in outdoor environmental conditions, including extreme heat, rain, wind, cold, and high humidity, during both day and night shifts.
- Language Skills: Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
This role demands strong leadership and the ability to adapt to changing conditions to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the terminal.
